New Book to Benefit ACVIM Foundation

Jack and Jill

Jill Rappaport is best known to millions as the Emmy-nominated entertainment correspondent for NBC's TODAY Show. This spring, Jill will add children's book author to her already impressive resume with the release of JACK & JILL: THE MIRACLE DOG WITH A HAPPY TAIL TO TELL.

JACK & JILL is the true story of an abandoned puppy who was rescued by Jill. Jill named the puppy Jack and together they lived on a farm where Jack spent his days running through fields, digging holes, playing with horses, and chasing deer. Sadly, one day Jill received some bad news. Jack had bone cancer and in order to beat the disease, Jack's leg had to be amputated, with chemotherapy to follow. But Jack didn't let this get him down. With only three legs he was able to still live life to the fullest and his story, with beautiful photographs by award-winning photojournalist Linda Solomon, will serve as an inspiration to both children and adults alike. Jack shows us that everyday is a true gift that must be treasured.

JACK & JILL is not only a story about a brave dog and a loving owner, it's about the heroic journey they took together and how Jack changed Jill's life forever. After 19 years as the entertainment correspondent for NBC's TODAY Show, Jill made the decision to devote her career to helping animals. Today her work on The TODAY Show focuses on animal welfare. In addition, Jill started the Jack & Jill Fund to educate owners about animal cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The fund benefits the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Foundation and the Tails of Hope Foundation. Later this year, Jill will launch an exclusive clothing line with Pendleton in celebration of their 100th Anniversary. The line includes Navajo inspired women's coats and bags and animal accessories including dog beds. This partnership will benefit the Jack & Jill Fund and the American Indian College Fund.

We thank Ms. Rappaport for her generosity and for helping increase the awareness of cancer in animals. This book would be a beautiful addition to a lobby, a wonderful gift to a client or friend, or an educational tool for children. Be sure to order yours today!
