Apply for a Grant
The ACVIM Foundation welcomes grant applications from active Diplomates and co-principal investigators (residents enrolled in ACVIM-approved residency programs and/or non-ACVIM Diplomates). We strongly encourage Specialists in private practice to apply for grants—and to collaborate with Diplomates in academia.
Diplomates may request up to $15,000 per year, Residents may request up to $12,500 per year, Multi-Center (collaboration between Specialists in Private Practice and Academia) and Urgent Study applicants may request up to $20,000 per year. We will consider funding for multi-year projects up to three years, subject to annual non-competitive renewal based on availability of funds and demonstration of adequate progress on the project. The ACVIM Foundation must receive a summary report within three months after the last funding date at the completion of a project.

Proposal Confidentiality
The ACVIM Foundation recognizes the importance of protecting the unpublished work included in grant applications. Members of the Scientific Review Committee and Ad Hoc Reviewers sign confidentiality agreements, and do not participate in evaluation of proposals for which they have any conflict of interest.
