Always and Forever the Mitey Mitey :)
Maggie & Scott, being the earth angels that they are, gave Buttons the best possible life imaginable – from the day they rescued her until the day she passed onto the Rainbow Bridge. While only with them for 16 short months, she just fit right in like she had always been a part of this amazing family. Her decline was difficult beyond words because she never acted like anything was wrong...she continued to monitor the household from a dog bed on the floor since she could no longer get on the couch because it was too much effort.
Ms Buh-ens had a spirit to her which was very unique. Like an aged Queen, she had a commanding presence with a silly side that was very endearing. She had a taste for In-n-Out yum yums, and loved basking in the sun...she made ALL hats look good, and passed many afternoons enjoying the beach...she was a friend, a teacher, a grandma, a sister, and an inspiration to all who had the privilege to know her (both in person and through stories)! Buh-ens was the epitome of the heart and soul of a Bulldog and she will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved her!
We Have a Secret
We have a secret, you and I
that no one else shall know,
for who but I can see you lie
each night in fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand
before we go to bed
and feel the living warmth of you
and touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths
and see ahead of me,
your small form racing with the wind
so young again, and free.
And only I can see you swim
in every brook I pass
and when I call, no one but I
can see the bending grass.
