Sammy

My name is Sammy. I am a 13" male beagle.

Scraps My Mommy and Daddy say that I am a "PP" Permanent Puppy because I cannot get enough hugs, kisses, belly rubs and I still look like a puppy.

I love to play with my two sisters, Casey (girl Beagle) and Ursa (girl Chow/Akita mix).

My father found me walking around on a job site when I was about six weeks old. He said I was the cutest little puppy he had ever seen. A co-worker wanted to keep me but had to check with his wife first. The plan was that I would be an overnight guest only while the co-worker checked with his wife. My parents fell in love with me immediately (because I am irresistible of course) and could not let me go. The first day I met my sisters, I was so excited and couldn't contain myself. I chased them around the house, bit some legs and peed everywhere (What a day that was!).

Scraps I know no fear and enjoy everyday to the fullest. My overzealousness over the past years may have contributed to my (3) back injuries, ruptured vertebrae. You would think that I would learn my lesson and not overdo it, but I am a beagle and I must explore, roll around, jump high, bounce off furniture and chase my sisters.

My veterinarian diligently tried to treat me at his office for my injuries but then introduced me to Georgia Veterinary Specialist Hospital because I had to have surgery. Can you believe that? A Hospital for animals, amazing! I have met quite a few of the staff members and in particular a very special Neurosurgeon, Dr. Ronald Johnson. I am thankful that he has a gentle touch and has been able to restore me back to my crazy, hyper self. I love this hospital and send them Christmas treats each year to remind them how much I appreciate them. But between you and me, I hope I never have to go back. Hospitals freak me out.

My parents love me and will do whatever is necessary to ensure continuation of a healthy and happy life. I plan to repay my parents with hugs, kisses, waking them up at 5:30am on the weekends to go pee pee, begging for food and tracking dirt into the house. I think this is a fair payment plan.
